“If you stare any longer at that blank page you’re going to get a horrible headache,” Blaine says, leaning over the couch to hook his chin over Kurt’s shoulder and kissing his cheek.
Kurt drops his head back and groans.
Blaine reaches over to hand him one of the glasses of wine he just poured in the kitchen and Kurt’s groan turns into a happy noise.
“Internship?” Blaine asks, already knowing the answer. The emergency/EMT scanner they keep in the living room at the request of their neighbor (so they can let his dog out in the mornings if it seems like he’s out on a call) flares into brief static when Blaine walks by to get to the right side of the couch.
“He wants another article on that masked vigilante running around saving grandmothers and children,” Kurt says. “And! And! He had the nerve to say my reporting last week wasn’t complimentary enough to this guy.”
“I thought you were complimentary enough,” Blaine says, grabbing the throw blanket and as he settles in next to Kurt on the couch. The scanner picks up again and he pauses to listen, but Kurt talks over it, used to the background noise.
Kurt ducks under Blaine’s arm when he reaches out and they mold together in a practiced and perfect way even as Kurt types idly with one hand. “This guy is probably crazy, anyway,” Kurt says. “I’d kill to be working somewhere that would let me write a big expose about crazyhands instead, get really into how it’s not possible that this guy is a super hero, and that New Yorkers just need something positive to get behind.”
“I think they’re calling him Blue Hands now,” Blaine says. Which he thinks is stupid, but largely better than crazyhands, so he’s not going to make a big thing out of it. He wishes Kurt had a better internship, too.
A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Fic 21st Birthday Extravaganza
so, Chris is turning twenty-one, and everybody asked me for birthday fic. i put up a quick poll, hey, what genre? angst, fluff, bromance, sexual tension or smut? every genre came back with about equal votes, so i formulated a plot. oh yes. Choose Your Own Adventure.
involves ALL of the genres above, seven stories (or pieces) in total. read one, read them all, entirely up to you.
ranges from PG rated to NC-17 (there is a warning for that piece, i believe it says “smutty smut smut”), and includes soundtrack notes and downloads.
ENJOY.
while we’re reminiscing, dear god i can’t believe it was a year ago. but it remains the most fun i’ve ever had writing a fic in this fandom goddamn

Always tell him you love him.
It’s a rule Kurt establishes in the privacy of his own head, the day after their first fight in the apartment. He hates how it felt, storming out with all those angry words left floating in the air behind him, hates how they has seemed to echo around the room even once he’d returned and apologized, so he tells himself, no matter how furious or hurt or rushed or tired or excited he is, he always has to tell Blaine he loves him before he leaves the apartment.
It’s an easy enough habit to fall into, once he gets used to it.

Title: Take It Like a Man (8/?)
Author: penguinutopia and idoltina
Betas: Katrina, Sarah, Lissa
Rating: NC-17
Genre: angst, AU, fluff, humor, romance, smut
Spoilers (if any): None

Summary: A Legally Blonde AU. Blaine Anderson has it all. He’s a member of both the polo and fencing clubs, founder of the charity Songbirds in Schools, and the lead soloist of the university’s famous all-male a capella choir, the Warblers. In his senior year at UCLA, Blaine— a show choir major — wants nothing more than to be the future Mr. Blaine Anderson-Smythe. When Sebastian breaks up with Blaine instead of proposing and heads off to a more ‘serious’ life at Harvard Law, Blaine sets his sights on following the love of his life to Boston to win him back. But Harvard holds a lot more obstacles than Blaine anticipated: challenging coursework, one Santana Lopez, and an admittedly cute graduate by the name of Kurt Hummel.
Disclaimer: We don’t own Glee or Legally Blonde.

“Hello boyfriend,” Kurt says, pulling Blaine forward by his tie, and Blaine grins and steps forward, tilting his chin up so his neck is stretched taut where the tie is digging into his skin. The sight of it makes something hot twist up tight in Kurt’s stomach, so he quickly lets go of Blaine’s tie, smiling fondly as Blaine straightens it back out.
“Hello boyfriend,” Blaine echoes back, and Kurt kicks at the bathroom door until it shuts, stepping close enough that Blaine is all bright eyes and long eyelashes and slightly parted lips before he speaks. “Subtle.”
“They’ve all already gone down to the practice room anyway,” Kurt whispers, leaning in to press his lips to Blaine’s. Blaine kisses back softly, brushing his lips over Kurt’s and sucking gentle kisses that are just a tease, so Kurt slides his hands around Blaine’s back and wiggles his fingers into Blaine’s back pockets, dragging him closer.
Blaine breathes out a startled noise against Kurt’s mouth, and Kurt just smiles, kissing harder until Blaine starts to part his lips and kiss Kurt back deeper. Blaine slides his arms around Kurt’s shoulders, holding tight, and Kurt feels another flare of heat low in his belly, his lips moving faster, wet and biting kisses that make Blaine groan.
“We really shouldn’t be—”
“I know,” Kurt whispers, kissing Blaine again, and then again and again, addicted to the way the heat keeps building, making Kurt flush darker in a way that’s going to be so obvious when they go down to meet the group. “I’ll stop in a second.”
Pairing: CrissColfer
Length: 4,720
Warnings: Breathplay, rough sex, facefucking, overstimulated sex [sorta? yeah], fluff and cuddling.
A/N: This was written approximately 500 characters at a time via Karley’s ask. It all started on a whim and my own boner for breathplay and the way Chris Colfer plays with his own neck. Edited for some grammar and word-usage/pronoun confusion in places and expanded in a few spots. Collected here for easy reading!“What if touch you here?” Darren’s fingers slid along Chris’ shoulders and across the collar of his shirt, tips dragging along the base of his neck.
Chris’ breath hitched though he tried to hide it. “Nothing.”
Darren arched an eyebrow at Chris and repeated the action, pressing a bit firmer and rubbing along the base with his whole hand, just like Chris did to himself.
“Oh god.” Chris batted Darren’s hand away. “Bad touch, no.” A rosy blush spotted high on his cheeks. “Bad Darren.” he chastised.
Kurt thought death would end his loneliness, but now it’s greater than ever. But what happens when he meets a mysterious boy, hidden behind a pane of glass? What happens when they fall in love? What happens when the glass shatters?
okay this might sound cheesy but this fic is so good i literally read it like everyday okay just gO trust me

—
They camp out on Blaine’s bed after Kurt gets his rejection letter.
They talk for hours, Kurt cries for more of those hours than Blaine’s heart can really handle, and he cries too. But he does it silently, spooning Kurt from behind and breathing into his hair where he’s all but buried his face, tears falling stealthily. He isn’t strong enough to cope with Kurt’s dejection without feeling somewhat broken himself, but he needs Kurt to think he is. Kurt’s suffered worse blows than this in his life (he never will again, not if I have any say in it, never) but right now that’s irrelevant. Kurt’s dreams have been crushed by the small, clinical print on a sheet of paper, and right now nothing could be worse.
Summary: Blaine isn’t happy about the misfortunes of others, but as far as he’s concerned what he’s feeling isn’t much better.

“I still don’t understand how NYADA could have rejected you. Your audition was incredible, Carmen even said she liked it!” He heard Kurt sigh next to him. “I’m sorry, I know you don’t want to keep talking about this anymore.” Kurt shrugged and Blaine leaned over to press a kiss to his temple.
“One day things will all fall into place, I promise. You deserve the world, Kurt.” Another kiss, this one to Kurt’s lips and Kurt hummed into it, pleased by the soft press of lips against his own. When they pulled away from each other, Kurt cleared his throat and twisted his hands in his laps anxiously.
“I have a confession to make…”
(via unshurtugal)
“Hey… whatcha doin?” Blaine asked, trying to make his voice sound light, but it was difficult with the way Kurt’s shoulders slumped as he sat crossed legged on the floor surrounded by what looked like the entire contents of his closet.
Reading the letter of refusal was not the hardest part. The hardest part was telling Blaine and his dad.
“Kurt Hummel!”
Kurt jumped as a six-inch thick folder was slammed onto the desk next to him. He looked up, startled, at a slightly-crazed Blaine. “Blaine—?”
“Here we go,” Blaine huffed, pulling up a chair to sit across from him. “It took me all night, but I’m pretty sure I got them all.”
Kurt stared at the overwhelming stack of papers in alarm. “All of what?”
“Applications,” Blaine said distractedly as he started leafing through them, sorting the papers into piles. “For internships in New York starting in September and October.”
“Woah, what?” Kurt’s eyebrows raised in alarm. “Internships?”
“Mmhmm,” Blaine mumbled. “Fashion, Magazine editors, playwrights, tech hands, designers, they’re all looking for interns and I got all their applications, but most of them are due by Saturday, so we kind of have to hurry.” Kurt was still giving him a dumbfounded look. “To get you to New York next year, so you don’t have to be stuck here.”
Kurt stared at the applications. “Blaine…Blaine, this is amazing! But, you know that I don’t mind taking a year off and staying in Lima—”
“You will be taking a year off,” Blaine said firmly. “But you’re going to New York. It’s what you’ve been dying to do all year.”
“Blaine,” Kurt said gently. “I know that you’re dying for me to stay.”
Blaine was silent, fiddling with the edge of a fashion magazine internship application. “I am,” he admitted quietly. “Of course I want you to stay. But what I want more than anything is for you to achieve your dreams and be successful and show the world how bright and amazing and inspiring Kurt Hummel is.”
Kurt kissed him, full on the mouth and suddenly they were grabbing at each other, not even concerned at the table between them as they kissed frantically over the applications.
“Thank you,” Kurt gasped against his lips, pulling back. “Seriously, you’re the best boyfriend ever. I love you so much.”
Blaine smiled, kissing him gently. “I love you too.”
Kurt smiled, sitting back down and leafing through the pappers. “Well, at least I’ll get the summer here in Lima with you.”
“Oh…” Blaine frowned, glancing down.
Kurt blinked. “What?”
“Well,” Blaine bit his lip. “It’s just that Cooper got a contract and is filming a commercial in Paris in two weeks and he kind of invited me…”
“Oh,” Kurt nodded. “Well, have fun—”
“And a plus one.”
Kurt blinked.
Blaine shrugged. “But hey, if you want to spend the summer in Lima, that’s cool, I’ll just give the tickets to my parents—” He laughed as Kurt climbed over the table and squeezed him in a hug, squealing in his ear.
“Paris? Moi? I have to pack! Oh my god, what am I going to wear there?” Kurt babbled, looking around frantically as if a wardrobe would just appear in the classroom. “We have to go shopping, Blaine. This is important—”
Blaine cut him off with a kiss. “Alright, sweetheart. But we have to finish the applications, remember? Here, I’ve already started filling some out…”
Kurt took a half-completed one, filling in the empty blanks. “Wait, you know my social security number?”
“Of course I do.”
Kurt rolled his eyes, smiling, not willing to admit that he knew Blaine’s as well. “Come on, let’s take these to the Lima Bean. It’s not like we can finish them without a non-fat mocha, medium drip, biscotti, and pumpkin bread anyways.”
“My man is so wise,” Blaine smiled as he leaned in and kissed Kurt on the side of his head.
Together, they gathered up the papers and left the school.
